A data science student, representing Dr. RVR NRI Deemed to be University, clinched a gold medal in software testing skills at the IndiaSkills National Competition held in Noida. Separately, the International University of Nagaland (IUN) has seen its students achieve significant recognition. In the IndiaSkills 2025 – Fashion Technology Competition, held in Kohima, a student named Vimeneno Phira secured a gold medal at the state level. This achievement marks a step towards representing Nagaland at the North East Level Competition in early 2026. IUN noted that four students from their university participated, with two reaching the final rounds, bringing pride to their Department of Fashion Technology.

The IndiaSkills competitions appear to serve as a broad platform, encompassing a range of vocational and technical fields. In June 2024, a student from their Beauty and Wellness program secured a bronze medal in a skill-based challenge related to skin and makeup at the national level. Another student, pursuing Logistics and Supply Chain Management, was selected for the national competition, highlighting the university's engagement in diverse skill development.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) champions IndiaSkills as a significant national endeavor. Described as India's largest skill competition, it aims to discover and showcase skilled youth from across the country.
