Zareen Khan's Mother Parveen Khan Dies at 65 in Mumbai After Illness

Mumbai, April 9, 2026 – Parveen Khan, the mother of Bollywood actress Zareen Khan, passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday, April 8, at the age of 65. Her death followed a prolonged period of illness, according to reports.

The funeral rites for Parveen Khan were conducted on the same day she passed, at the Versova Muslim Kabrastan in Andheri, Mumbai.

Zareen Khan had, in recent months, shared updates regarding her mother's deteriorating health on social media platforms, frequently requesting prayers from her fans and followers. Earlier this year, she had indicated that her birthday celebrations would not proceed due to her mother's hospitalization.

The actress's representatives confirmed the passing, issuing a statement expressing deep sorrow over the loss. Throughout her career, Zareen Khan has often spoken of the close bond she shared with her mother, whom she credited as a source of strength and support. Zareen Khan had previously shared personal struggles, including her father leaving the family when she was young, leading her to take on the responsibility of being the sole earner from an early age to support her mother and sister.
