The discussions, mediated by Qatar, centered on maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and the unfreezing of Iranian funds – issues reportedly addressed within a previous interim agreement.
The talks concluded with both sides offering divergent interpretations of their progress, underscoring the fragile nature of the ongoing dialogue. US Vice President JD Vance characterized the discussions as showing "positive progress" on the "mechanics" of the interim agreement, though he cautioned against anticipating major outcomes.
