ACCUSATIONS OF CORRUPTION AND FAMILY-CENTRIC RULE
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the ruling DMK party in Tamil Nadu of betraying the mandate given by the people in 2021. Addressing a rally in Tiruchi, Modi alleged that the DMK has implemented a 'scientific corruption model' and is effectively running Tamil Nadu as an 'ATM for one family'. He claimed that "just like all rivers flow into the sea, all money is going to one family in the DMK."

The core assertion is that the DMK government has failed to uphold the trust placed in them by the electorate, diverting resources and governance towards a select few rather than the general populace.

Modi further contended that instead of taking their responsibility seriously after being brought to power in 2021, the DMK has "betrayed the mandate." Specific accusations include unfulfilled promises to farmers, such as the promised warehouses and increased MSP for paddy. He also touched upon alleged job scams within minister KN Nehru's department and protection offered to those involved in illegal sand mining. Concerns about public safety were also raised, with claims that "criminals roam fearlessly" while women and children are worried.

OPPOSITION ECHOES CRITICISM
Echoing these sentiments, AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami stated that the people are "fed up with DMK's 'false' promises." He highlighted specific unfulfilled pledges like the complete waiver of jewel loans and promised fuel price reductions, suggesting the government consistently "betrayed the trust of the electorate" and prioritizes "family interests over public welfare."

Separately, Anbumani Ramadoss of the PMK released a report claiming only 13 percent of the DMK's 505 election manifesto promises have been fully honoured over the past four years. He characterized this as a "betrayal of public trust," noting that many of these promises were central to the DMK's appeal to voters.

DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES AND NATIONALIST FRAMEWORK
Modi's visit to Tamil Nadu also included the inauguration of several development initiatives worth approximately ₹11,000 crore. These projects span various sectors, including energy, petroleum, highways, railways, and rural development. He emphasized the central government's commitment to Tamil Nadu's progress, linking it to India's overall development. Modi also stated a belief in an "India-First ideology," cautioning against misinformation and assuring that the government prioritizes national interests.
The Prime Minister's remarks were made within the context of an NDA rally, signaling a political push by the alliance in the state. He also noted the pride in CP Radhakrishnan, described as a "son of TN," holding the position of Vice-President.
