INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO OVERNIGHT INCIDENT
OSLO - Norwegian authorities are probing an overnight incident at the U.S. Embassy that resulted in a "loud bang" and minor damage to the building's consular entrance. The blast occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday near the embassy on Morgedalsvegen street in western Oslo. No injuries were reported.

Police have released images of a suspect they are seeking in connection with the explosion. Investigators are also examining a video posted on Google Maps around the time of the incident. While Norwegian police have not changed the country's terror threat level, they have stated that they are not ruling out a terrorism motive. The investigation is said to be in its early stages.

Emergency services were dispatched to the embassy following reports of the explosion. Technicians and additional personnel from the Norwegian police security service were called in. Searches were conducted in the vicinity of the embassy, which is located approximately 7 kilometers (4 miles) outside the city center.
