Singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, has been arrested by Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Her decomposed body was discovered in September 2025 inside the trunk of an abandoned Tesla registered to Burke. The case is slated for presentation to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Monday for filing consideration.
Burke, 21, is currently being held without bail. Authorities stated that investigators have developed evidence and probable cause supporting the arrest, and are able to prove the teen's death was a murder. The dismembered remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found on September 8, 2025, in the front trunk of the Tesla, which had been towed from the Hollywood Hills after sitting abandoned for weeks.
Circumstances of Discovery and Investigation
The body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the impounded vehicle, a Tesla registered to the artist. At the time of the discovery, Burke was reportedly on his "Withered World Tour." Investigators believe the teen may have been deceased for several weeks before her remains were located. Reports suggest that the possibility of another individual assisting in the dismemberment of the body is being considered.
