Mumbai: Mumbai Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Peter Haag, husband of actor Celina Jaitly. The development follows a complaint filed by Jaitly detailing allegations of cruelty, physical harm, intimidation, and sustained harassment. The FIR has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including those pertaining to cruelty, causing harm, intimidation, and harassment. Neither Haag nor his legal representatives have issued a public statement regarding the allegations. Mumbai Police are reportedly continuing to gather statements and evidence connected to the complaint.
Broad Scope of Allegations Surface
Jaitly's complaint details claims of domestic violence, including physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and degradation. She alleges that Haag subjected her to "severe emotional, physical, verbal and financial abuse" over their approximately 15-year marriage. Specific accusations include instances of violence, throwing objects, and verbal abuse, with Haag allegedly using racist and degrading remarks towards Jaitly.

The complaint also touches upon financial aspects, with allegations that Haag manipulated Jaitly into transferring ownership of a valuable self-acquired property in Mumbai to him. Jaitly reportedly claims her own savings were funding their lifestyle and that Haag obstructed her financial independence by prohibiting her from working after they had children. A demand for ₹50 Crore in damages has been cited in relation to these alleged actions.
Furthermore, the actor has claimed that Haag has blocked her access to their three children, who are reportedly in his custody in Austria. Jaitly states she was forced to flee their home in Austria and return to India, leaving the children behind. Civil proceedings are also reportedly underway regarding a gift deed.
Legal Proceedings and Background
The filing of the FIR and the LOC occurred recently, with initial reports surfacing on November 25, 2025, and further developments noted on December 16, 2025, and more recently. The case has drawn public attention due to Jaitly's profile in the Hindi film industry.
