Application Overload Forces Freeze

The decision by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)–Hyderabad to block these test zones comes as a direct consequence of a surge in applications. Specifically, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Adilabad, and Nizamabad have reached their intake limits for examination slots. Those who registered prior to this closure were able to select centers in these areas, while new applicants must now opt for alternative locations.

Alternative Center Allotments and Late Fees

For candidates who register with various late fees, including ₹2,500, ₹5,000, and ₹10,000, test centers will be allocated in the Hyderabad IV zone. The application window with late fees extends up to specific dates: ₹2,500 and ₹5,000 until April 20 and April 24 respectively. Earlier late fees of ₹250 and ₹500 were accepted until April 10 and April 15.

Examination Schedule and Application Edits

Hall tickets for the Agriculture & Pharmacy (A&P) entrance test are scheduled for release on April 23. Subsequently, hall tickets for the engineering test will be made available on April 27. The application editing period was open from April 6 to April 8.

The A&P exam is slated for May 4 and 5, while the engineering entrance examination will take place from May 9 to 11.

Registration Numbers and Background

As of recent reports, the total number of applications has approached the 1-lakh mark, with specific figures indicating 64,861 candidates applying for the engineering entrance test, 31,918 for agriculture and pharmacy, and 113 for both streams. This represents a significant response to the TG EAPCET 2026 registration process, which commenced on February 19, 2026. Typically, around 3 lakh candidates register for this examination annually.
