The established practice of integrating Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets directly with answer booklets will persist for the 2026 Telangana Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public examinations. This method, observed in the preceding year, necessitates candidates to record essential details and responses on the OMR sheet, which is physically attached to the main answer booklet. Sample OMR sheets and accompanying answer booklets are now accessible on the official websites, www.bse.telangana.gov.in and http://schooledu.telangana.gov.in, to aid students in familiarizing themselves with the format.
The OMR sheet, structured into two parts, serves as the primary document for recording student particulars such as name, roll number, and signatures of both the candidate and the invigilator. It also accommodates test-specific details and is instrumental in the subsequent allocation of marks. Authorities are advising students to thoroughly review these sample documents and practice filling them out in advance to mitigate errors during the actual examination. This approach aims to streamline the examination process and ensure accurate data capture.

OMR Sheet Procedure and Student Guidance
Under the current system, students are instructed to record their answers directly onto the OMR sheet, which is part of the answer booklet. While the Hall Ticket number is expected to be pre-printed on the OMR sheet, students are cautioned to verify their name, Hall Ticket Number, exam date, subject name, and center name upon receiving the booklet. They are also reminded to sign the attendance sheet. A procedural detail involves entering the last three digits of the answer sheet number in designated boxes at the top of the OMR sheet, a step designed to prevent incorrect Hall Ticket number entries. Students are urged to handle the OMR sheets with care and avoid any tampering.
