The Tamil Nadu government, through minister P.K. Sekarbabu, has framed the recent unrest surrounding the Thirupparankundram temple issue as a politically motivated attempt by the BJP to destabilise the ruling DMK. Sekarbabu claimed that "outsiders," identified as BJP members, are orchestrating protests, a move he described as an effort to create "dangerous situations" akin to those allegedly instigated by the party in other states. He asserted that these actions are designed to exploit a "politically opportune moment" and are not representative of genuine Hindu organisations. The minister further stated that the government would adhere to any court verdicts on the matter.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has also weighed in, labelling the controversies, particularly surrounding the Karthigai Deepam ritual, as "cheap politics" aimed at dividing society for political gain. He claimed that protests against alleged meat consumption on the hill and demands to rename it 'Sikandar Malai' were driven by BJP members, not by broader Hindu outfits.
