Film to Highlight Unsung Heroes Amidst Crisis
The upcoming film, "Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata," starring Kangana Ranaut, is slated for a theatrical release on June 12, 2026. The movie aims to shed light on the 'untold story' of ordinary individuals, particularly hospital staff, who displayed extraordinary courage and sacrifice during a period of terror. The narrative focuses on their resilience, humanity, and unity when faced with violence, emphasizing their role in saving lives.
The film is based on true events and centers on the heroism of hospital workers, including nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security staff, and administrators, who remained steadfast in their duty during an armed attack. While external violence claimed lives, the story highlights how these individuals, within a hospital setting, managed to save approximately 400 lives. This is presented as a form of patriotism rooted in action and responsibility, shifting focus from violence to human endurance.

A Tribute to Quiet Courage
Director Manoj Tapadia described the film as an "emotional and character-driven narrative." He stated that the movie tells a story of courage, sacrifice, humanity, and unity, portraying ordinary people who found themselves "between terror and life itself." Ranaut, who reportedly plays a nurse in the film, expressed pride in being part of a project that salutes those who "held the city together in its toughest moments." She added that the film celebrates a quieter form of courage, one that involves stepping in and doing what is necessary, rather than overt dramatic acts.
Producer Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios commented that the film reflects the strength of individuals during vulnerable times, asserting that "true bravery often comes from the most unexpected places." The makers have unveiled a new poster that emphasizes the contribution of hospital staff, steering clear of conventional depictions of violence and instead highlighting stories of resilience and duty.
