REGIONAL POWERS BUSY INTERCEPTINGPROJECTILES
United Arab Emirates air defence systems have been extensively engaged, intercepting a significant number of incoming threats. From February 28th onwards, the UAE military reported neutralizing 165 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles, and 541 drones. Similar actions were confirmed by Sharjah Media Office, indicating air defence systems responding to missile threats in the region. Kuwait also reported intercepting two drones.

IRAN'S CLAIMS AND COUNTERCLAIMS
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have shot down a second American F-35 fighter jet near the Strait of Hormuz. This assertion has been explicitly rejected by Centcom, which denies Iran's claim of downing a US fighter. The IRGC also reported intercepting an Israeli-made Hermes 900 drone over Shiraz.

TRUMP'S THREATS AND DOMESTIC DEVELOPMENTS
Former President Donald Trump has issued new threats against Iran, stating that "Bridges Next, Then Electric Power Plants." This follows reports of US strikes on an Iranian bridge that allegedly killed eight people. Domestically, Iran has reportedly executed Amirhossein Hatami, an 18-year-old protester, for charges related to the January protests. This execution, described by Amnesty International as the result of a "grossly unfair trial," marks the fifth such execution since the conflict with the US and Israel began.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has warned that the Middle East is on the "edge of a wider war," cautioning against a 'spiral of death and destruction.' Russia's UN envoy echoed these concerns, urging the US and Israel to "stop playing with fire." The ongoing conflict has already led to disruptions, including reports of AWS Bahrain appearing down after a claimed Iranian attack, and flights suspended at Dubai International Airport following a "drone-related incident."
