Harish, 32, a figure with a history of 13 criminal cases, and Nitesh, 27, were detained Friday night near Seegahalli Gate.
The arrests stem from allegations of public intoxication and disruptive conduct while riding a motorcycle. The incident unfolded as the pair traveled from Tavarekere towards Bengaluru. According to reports, Harish, the pillion rider, was observed consuming liquor from a bottle while the vehicle was in motion. Subsequent to their apprehension, officials also noted instances of shouting and indecent behavior, contributing to a climate of public unease.
Two separate cases have been filed against the men at the Madanayakanahalli Police Station. Investigations into these matters are ongoing. Nitesh is also reportedly linked to a prior case registered at the Annapoorneshwari Police Station.
The detentions were carried out by officers from the Central Crime Branch's Organized Crime Squad during a routine patrol. The arrested individuals were identified as Harish, known to the Madanayakanahalli Police as a 'rowdy-sheeter' with a significant criminal record, and Nitesh.
