Building Damage, Minor Injuries Reported
A Tesla Model 3, reportedly operating on its 'Autopilot' system, crashed into the Dream Dance Studio in Clinton, Tennessee, on April 16th, around 4 p.m. The collision caused significant damage to the building's front and right side, with bricks, glass, and concrete debris impacting the interior. Three individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries, though the studio owner, Olivia Bartley-Hill, described it as a "miracle that no one was hurt" more seriously, given the circumstances.
"People in the hall were screaming," stated Bartley-Hill, conveying the chaotic scene. She also mentioned the driver of the Tesla indicated she believed she was applying the brake, but the car continued to accelerate.
Investigation Underway
Clinton Police Department officers responded to the incident and have begun an examination of the vehicle's onboard data. The purpose of this review is to ascertain the precise functionality of the assisted driving system at the moment of the crash. The driver, who was not the owner, was reportedly using the 'Autopilot' feature as she considered purchasing a Tesla herself.

Debris was propelled through the building while dance classes were in session.
A witness, identified as Kay Bartley, mother of the studio owner, assisted occupants of the vehicle immediately after the impact.
