Sean Hubbard, 34, faces charges in the death of Camariya Tidwell, 19, after surveillance video reportedly captured him firing a shotgun into her family's Rock Hill home on May 16th. The incident, which occurred around 11 p.m. on Mount Gallant Road, marks the culmination of a week of escalating tensions.
Video evidence appears to show Hubbard firing the weapon through the home's front door earlier on Saturday, May 16th. This initial shooting did not result in injuries. Later that evening, as the victim's family reportedly sought police presence due to fear of Hubbard's return, the fatal shooting took place outside the residence. Authorities state Tidwell was not the intended target of the attack.
Hubbard's arrest followed a search initiated after the daylight shooting. The family had reportedly expressed fears to law enforcement and requested increased patrols, alleging repeated harassment and surveillance of their home by Hubbard in the days leading up to the homicide. These concerns were reportedly conveyed to officers prior to the fatal incident.

The family indicates the conflict originated when a relative terminated a professional arrangement with Hubbard, who had previously worked on a family member's car. Tensions reportedly intensified after a cousin withdrew her consent for Hubbard to continue working on a vehicle. Hubbard is alleged to have made threats towards this cousin following the termination of contact.
Camariya Tidwell's family has expressed profound grief and frustration, recounting a week of escalating threats that preceded the young woman's death. They described Tidwell as a "kind and loving" individual. The case began with the earlier shooting incident on Mount Gallant Road, which then escalated into the fatal attack later the same day.
