Actor Cries Out for "Decent Work" Amidst Viral Video Backlash
Actor Rahul Roy, known for his iconic role in "Aashiqui," has broken his silence regarding a series of viral Instagram reels that have drawn widespread trolling and concern. In a direct address to his critics, Roy has revealed that his participation in these videos stems from a pressing need to earn money and manage financial obligations, including legal dues. He has explicitly asked for "decent work" rather than mockery of his circumstances.
Roy's candid statements point to significant financial struggles, stating, "Help me find decent work" and acknowledging that he has "legal matters to pay for." He emphasized that staying active is crucial for him, especially after recovering from a brain stroke, but the nature of his recent online appearances was a "compulsion."
Struggle Post-Stroke and Public Scrutiny
The viral videos, which often feature Roy lip-syncing and interacting with a content creator, have been met with a mix of bewilderment, ridicule, and concern online. Many internet users have questioned his situation, with comments ranging from speculation about his well-being ("blink if you are in danger") to accusations of poor quality content ("cringe").

Roy, however, has pushed back against the negativity. He stated, "If you mock my simplicity or my struggles, or troll me, it says less about me and more about you." He asserts his resilience, declaring, "Yes, it may hurt a little sometimes, but you cannot break me." He has also clarified that some of the videos being discussed were filmed before his brain stroke.
Seeking Employment and Maintaining Activity
Following a significant brain stroke in Kargil while shooting for his film "LAC - Live The Battle," Roy has been on a recovery path. He has openly stated his desire to keep working for as long as he is alive and that staying occupied was important after his health setback. This drive for continued engagement appears to be the underlying motivation behind his recent public activities, even those that have drawn criticism.
