Northern Territory Police are continuing efforts to locate Jefferson Lewis, a 47-year-old man they believe is connected to the child's death.
Manhunt Continues for Suspect
Assistant Commissioner Peter Malley stated that police are intensifying their search for Jefferson Lewis, who remains at large. Lewis, described as a recently released prisoner, was reportedly last seen with the five-year-old, identified by her family as Kumanjayi Little Baby, on Saturday night. Police allege Lewis abducted the child.
"It is our sole job in this investigation right now," Assistant Commissioner Malley commented regarding the search for Lewis.
Police also expressed their belief that members of the community may be withholding information relevant to Lewis's whereabouts.
