Kaiser Reef, a gold producer, is enacting a plan to increase its gold output and extend the life of its mines. The company is focusing on its Henty mine in Tasmania and its Maldon project in Victoria. This strategy is being pursued amidst a strong gold market.

Operational Highlights and Strategic Direction
Kaiser Reef's approach centers on two primary assets: the Henty Gold Mine in Tasmania and the Maldon Gold Project in Victoria. The company aims to boost gold production, lengthen mine operational timelines, and explore for more gold in these areas.

The Henty Gold Mine is described as Kaiser Reef's key operational asset. It currently produces approximately 30,000 ounces of gold per year. The mine has established infrastructure both above and below ground, along with a processing plant with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per annum. Recent reports indicate that the processing plant has achieved a run-rate of around 400,000 tonnes per annum, surpassing its original capacity. This has contributed to a 29% increase in ore reserves at Henty, now estimated at 199,000 ounces at a grade of 3.28 grams per tonne. This reserve upgrade suggests a mine life outlook of over six years, targeting more than 30,000 ounces of gold per year.
The Maldon Gold Project in Victoria features a 200,000 tonne per annum gold processing facility. This project has a significant historical production record, with over 1.75 million ounces of gold recovered at an average grade of 28 grams per tonne from quartz reefs. Current resources at Maldon are estimated at 1.3 million tonnes grading 4.4 grams per tonne for 187,000 ounces of gold. Recent drilling in the Union Hill open pit area has identified high-grade gold continuity along the Eaglehawk Reef. Visible gold has also been observed in some veins within this area. Drilling results from the A1 gold mine, part of the Maldon project, have shown high-grade intercepts, such as 0.20 meters at 65.1 grams per tonne and 0.40 meters at 40.9 grams per tonne.
Resource Expansion and Production Targets
Kaiser Reef's strategy includes increasing resource figures and production levels. The company has a short-term ambition to become a 50,000 ounce per annum gold producer, combining output from its Tasmanian and Victorian operations.

Henty Mine: Ore reserves have been increased to 199,000 ounces. The processing plant's capacity has been enhanced, leading to a higher run-rate that allows for greater ore throughput.
Maldon Project: The Union Hill area holds a resource of 187,000 ounces. In-pit drilling has confirmed high-grade gold continuity, which may facilitate future underground mining operations. Drilling at the A1 mine has yielded strong high-grade gold intersections, potentially impacting future production plans.
Management and Future Outlook
Brad Valiukas has been appointed as the Managing Director, tasked with guiding the growth of Kaiser Reef's operations, particularly in Tasmania. The company views the Maldon project as a potential secondary processing hub, complementing its Henty operations.
The Henty Gold Mine is operational with significant infrastructure.
The Maldon Gold Project has a permitted underground component and an operational processing plant.
The Union Hill mine is currently on care and maintenance but possesses a notable gold resource.
