HCLTech has appointed Kimsuka Narsimhan as an independent director. Narsimhan’s arrival comes as the technology services company pushes forward with a focus on 'AI-led growth' and navigating global market shifts. Her appointment injects significant financial and governance experience into HCLTech's board, a move signaling a desire for sharper oversight during periods of technological evolution and fluctuating global demand.
Narsimhan brings over 35 years of experience, primarily within the consumer goods sector, with a career spanning senior leadership roles in finance, risk management, strategy, and business transformation. She is a chartered and cost accountant. Her background includes work across diverse geographies, including Europe, the Middle East & Africa, India, and Southeast Asia.

Her board experience extends over a decade. Previously, she has held director positions on the boards of prominent companies such as Bharti Airtel, Meesho, Akzo Nobel, and AstraZeneca. Narsimhan has also served on and chaired various board committees, covering areas like audit, nomination and remuneration, ESG, and risk oversight. She is also noted as a board member for the SIM People Development Fund.
