ESSEX PROPERTY, ONCE HOME TO PINK FLOYD GUITARIST DAVID GILMOUR, SEEKS NEW CUSTODIANS FOR AROUND £1 MILLION.
A FIVE-BEDROOM farmhouse, situated on the outskirts of Roydon, Essex, formerly inhabited by Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, has been listed for sale. The property, which sits on approximately 4.6 acres of land, is reportedly in need of significant refurbishment.

The country residence, acquired by Gilmour in the 1970s, is being marketed with a price tag hovering near £1 million, with some reports indicating £1.1 million. Alongside the main house, the grounds feature several outbuildings, including stables, garages, and a summer house. Sources suggest that one of these structures may have served as the site for Gilmour's early home recording studio, where he is believed to have worked on material during his tenure with the band.

The property boasts five bedrooms and is divided into multiple reception rooms on its ground floor, alongside a kitchen, utility area, pantry, and cloakroom. Its location places it between the towns of Harlow and Broadley Common.

PROPERTY HISTORY AND GILMOUR'S CURRENT HOLDINGS
During his time at the Essex property, Gilmour is said to have added amenities such as a music room, a home studio, and a swimming pool he reportedly dug himself. He also utilized a trials bike to traverse the extensive grounds, which once housed Pink Floyd’s communal vehicle.

Currently, Gilmour's property portfolio includes a farm in West Sussex and a house in Hampstead.
It is worth noting that another of Gilmour's properties, a £15 million mansion, has reportedly been on the market for over three years without a sale, with one report suggesting the price has been halved. Residents have characterized the prolonged sale of this other estate as a "millstone around their necks," with some attributing the situation to "rock star hubris and arrogance."
