Darrell Sheets, a figure recognizable from the reality television series 'Storage Wars', has died at the age of 67. Authorities in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, confirmed Sheets was found deceased at his residence early Wednesday morning, April 22nd. The Lake Havasu City Police Department stated that officers responded to a call regarding a deceased individual shortly after 2 AM. The preliminary findings indicate the cause of death was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Sheets' family has been notified.
The incident, which remains under active investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit, occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive. Officers pronounced Sheets dead at the scene. His body was subsequently transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office.
Sheets, a longtime resident of Southern California, had relocated to Lake Havasu City after retiring from his television career. He had also established an antique store named "Havasu Show Me Your Junk" in his new hometown. Sheets was a prominent presence in the early seasons of 'Storage Wars', appearing alongside other cast members such as his son Brandon Sheets, Dave Hester, Jarrod Schulz, and Brandi Passante. He had also made guest appearances on other television programs, including 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' and 'Rachael Ray'. Reports suggest Sheets had experienced prior health issues.
