EXAMINATION OUTCOMES MADE PUBLIC ACROSS TWO LEVELS
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially declared the results for both the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations for the year 2026. The results, published on April 30th, provide students with access to their academic performance following examinations that concluded earlier in April.
Students aiming to view their results are directed to a primary digital portal. The main websites for accessing the scorecards are cisce.org and results.cisce.org. To retrieve their individual results, candidates are required to input specific identification details: their Unique ID and Index Number. In instances where direct access to the official websites proves difficult due to high traffic, alternative platforms have been made available. These include the DigiLocker application and website, as well as the UMANG platform.
This year's examinations saw a significant number of participants. Approximately 2.6 lakh students registered for the ICSE Class 10 examinations, while around 1.5 lakh candidates took the ISC Class 12 board exams across the nation. The ICSE Class 10 exams were conducted from February 17th to March 30th, with the ISC Class 12 examinations taking place between February 12th and April 3rd.

PASS RATES AND REASSESSMENT PROCEDURES
Initial reports indicate high pass percentages for both examinations. The ICSE Class 10 recorded a pass rate of 99.18%, while the ISC Class 12 achieved 99.13%. For students dissatisfied with their results or seeking to improve their scores, a provision for re-evaluation or improvement examinations is available. Applications for rechecking are scheduled to commence from May 1st.
LOGISTICAL CONSIDERATIONS AND ACCESS METHODS
The announcement of the results was made available digitally, with scorecards accessible online. However, some reports indicate that the official websites experienced technical difficulties, likely due to the volume of traffic. The DigiLocker platform is highlighted as a viable alternative for obtaining official digital marksheets, which are legally equivalent to original certificates under the IT Act. Students can also avail themselves of an SMS facility to check their results. For ICSE, the format is "ICSE [Unique ID]", and for ISC, it is "ISC [Unique ID]", sent to a designated number.

The results, once accessed, are expected to contain subject-wise marks, total marks, and the qualifying status of the student. Physical marksheets are anticipated to be distributed at a later date.
EXAMINATION TIMELINES AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
The ISC Class 12 examinations concluded on April 6th, while the ICSE Class 10 exams wrapped up on March 30th. The swift declaration of results, within weeks of the final exam, has been noted. To access the results, beyond the Unique ID and Index Number, some platforms may also require a Captcha code. For those utilizing DigiLocker, entering the Date of Birth in addition to the Unique ID and Index Number is also mentioned. Schools will be able to access their students' results via the CISCE CAREERS portal, using authorized login credentials.
