Casandra Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, has relocated outside the United States, a move that follows her pivotal testimony in the trial of her former partner, Sean "Diddy" Combs. The singer has stated her intent not to return to live in the U.S.
Cassie Ventura left the New York area, where she had resided, out of fear of potential retaliation from Sean Combs or his associates following her testimony against him. She informed the judge of her departure before the sentencing. This action comes after Combs was convicted on two counts of transporting people for prostitution, though acquitted of more severe charges like sex trafficking and racketeering.

Cassie had previously reached an out-of-court settlement of $20 million with Combs. Further financial disclosures indicate an additional $10 million settlement from InterContinental, a hotel involved in an incident where a video was allegedly concealed to protect Combs' reputation.

The singer, who gave birth to her third child recently, had testified against Combs regarding accusations of rape and repeated physical abuse during their decade-long relationship. The timing of her child's birth, approximately two weeks after her testimony, coincided with the ongoing trial proceedings in New York. Ventura, 38, and her husband, Alex Fine, welcomed a son.

Combs is currently serving a four-year prison sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey.
The reports suggest Cassie's departure and public statements underscore a desire to move beyond the intense legal scrutiny and personal repercussions stemming from her relationship and subsequent testimony against Combs.
