Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, is scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee in June to discuss his past interactions with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This testimony comes as a result of the recent release of Epstein's files, which have reportedly unearthed new details about their long-standing relationship. Gates has previously stated that he met with Epstein to explore philanthropic funding opportunities.

The committee's inquiry into Epstein's affairs has prompted testimony from other high-profile figures, including former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who appeared before the panel in February. Gates' testimony is expected to address the nature of his engagements with Epstein, including discussions about charitable initiatives and the alleged "intrigued" lifestyle Epstein presented.

Sources indicate that Gates has admitted to multiple affairs that Epstein later discovered. Furthermore, Gates reportedly apologized to his employees regarding these revelations. The planned charitable fund involving Gates and Epstein appeared to falter by late 2014. At that time, Gates expressed in an email that the venture would not materialize with the proposed partners in the near future.

Reports also suggest that Epstein, towards the end of 2014, complained to an acquaintance that Gates had ceased communication. A spokesperson for Gates stated that his team eventually concluded Epstein's methods and concepts were not "legitimate," leading to the discontinuation of all contact.

Gates has maintained that he never attended parties with Epstein and has had no involvement in any illegal activities associated with him. He previously told Australia's 9News that he regretted meeting Epstein. The timing of this testimony is significant, as the ongoing probe continues to bring other prominent names into the public spotlight. Gates has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
