Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly purchased a 2.67-acre land parcel in Ayodhya for approximately ₹35 crore. This marks his third investment in the temple town through the developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), and his fourth plotted development acquisition with the firm. The acquisition signifies a deepening of Bachchan's real estate interests in Ayodhya, a location experiencing heightened investor attention following the establishment of the Ram Mandir.

The purchased land is situated near HoABL's expansive 'The Sarayu' luxury land development, a 75-acre project positioned along the Sarayu River. This move aligns with Bachchan's previous investment in HoABL's 'Sol de Alibaug' project, where he acquired a 10,000 square feet plot.

A Calculated Diversification
The actor's engagement with HoABL extends beyond Ayodhya, with the developer having a presence in numerous cities including Alibaug, Goa, and Vrindavan. HoABL articulates a strategy focused on 'plotted developments' in areas driven by infrastructure and tourism. Their expansion plans target 48 cities across India.

Reports suggest that land near the temple site was also acquired through the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust, potentially earmarked for a memorial or cultural project honouring his father, the poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Other Bollywood figures, including Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan, have also reportedly invested in HoABL's 'The Sarayu' project.
The transactions involving Bachchan are being executed through his family-run company, AB Corp Ltd. The broader context suggests a growing trend of celebrity engagement with Ayodhya's property market, fueled by infrastructural development and a perceived increase in long-term value.
