A Red Corner Notice has been issued against K Vishnu Vineeth, an accused in a fatal road accident that occurred nearly ten years ago, claiming the lives of a nine-year-old girl and two other relatives. The Banjara Hills police have enlisted the help of Interpol to trace Vineeth, who is believed to have fled India during the trial and is now residing in the United States. The notice aims to ensure his presence for the upcoming court hearing.

The accident, which took place on July 1, 2016, involved a car allegedly driven by R Shravil losing control near the Punjagutta crematorium. According to reports, the vehicle jumped a divider and landed on the car carrying the victims. Those killed in the incident were identified as Ramya (nine years old), her uncle P Rajesh, and her grandfather Madhusudhan Chary.

Police initially registered a case against Shravil and K Vishnu Vineeth, subsequently filing a charge sheet. However, Vineeth reportedly departed India while the legal proceedings were ongoing. The recent issuance of the Red Corner Notice marks a significant development in the long-stalled case, aiming to bring the absconding accused back to face justice.

"He is still accused number 2 in the case and has been absconding for several years. We have information that he is taking refuge in the United States and we have issued a Red Corner Notice with the help of Interpol to trace him and bring him back to India to face court," stated an investigating official from the Banjara Hills police station.
The family was reportedly traveling from Nagarjuna Circle towards Banjara Hills when the incident occurred. Reports suggest that the car driven by Shravil, believed to have exited a pub and been under the influence of alcohol, was speeding from Banjara Hills towards Nagarjuna Circle and Punjagutta. The vehicle's loss of control led to the collision.
