The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam, conducted between April 2 and April 8, saw over 10.34 lakh candidates appear for the second session, with a total of 15.38 lakh candidates participating across both sessions this year. This performance follows a trend where a substantial number of perfect scores have been observed in recent years, though the count of 100 percentilers this year is slightly lower than in 2024.
Telangana's Top Performers Emerge
Among the Telangana students who attained 100 percentiles, Mantha Shiva Kamlesh secured All India Rank (AIR) 7. Other notable state achievers include Sai Rithvik Reddy (AIR 14), Vivan Sharad Maheshwari (AIR 19), and Doranala Bhavithesh Reddy (AIR 24). Rishi Premnath also registered a perfect 100 percentile score.

Mallavarapu Aasna was highlighted as a top female performer from Telangana, achieving a score near 100 percentile, with a specific mention of 99.9982287. In other categories, Nanala Naga Chaitanya secured 99.78 percentile in the PwBD category, and Mokalla Sharath Chandra achieved 99.97 percentile in the ST category.
National Landscape and Cut-Offs
Nationally, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results indicate a competitive landscape, with states like Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan also featuring multiple 100 percentilers. Andhra Pradesh saw five students achieve perfect scores, while Rajasthan had four. Delhi NCR followed with three.
The eligibility cut-off for the subsequent JEE Advanced exam has been set.

Examination and Evaluation Process
The results are compiled based on the best of the NTA scores obtained by candidates in Session 1 and Session 2. The NTA confirmed that the results were derived from the final answer key, released on April 20, after a review of objections lodged against the provisional key between April 11 and April 13.

Candidates who have qualified based on their JEE Main 2026 performance will now focus on the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. Registration for the JEE Advanced 2026 is set to begin on April 23, 2026, with the exam scheduled for May 17, 2026. Admissions to IITs, NITs, and IIITs will subsequently be managed through this counselling procedure.
