The Odd Culture Group has launched Bar Bruno, an all-day osteria in the Sydney CBD. The venue aims to provide a casual Italian dining experience, operating from 10 am daily and serving coffee, pastries, lunch, and dinner.
Bar Bruno positions itself as a neighbourhood Italian spot, catering to various times of day. The menu features dishes like Cotoletta with black garlic aioli, mussels with fagioli giganti, and Murray cod with parmesan rind brodo. Beverages include coffee, specifically using Genovese beans on weekdays, and Italian drinks.
The new establishment is located above the group's existing daiquiri bar, Razz Room. This placement suggests a potential duality in offerings, with the possibility of transitioning from morning coffee and pastries to later-day dining and drinks. The overall atmosphere is described as relaxed and approachable, mirroring traditional Italian osterias.
