Palghar Highway Crash: 13 Dead, Drivers Charged

A tragic crash on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Palghar killed 13 people. This is a much higher number of deaths than recent accidents on the same road.

A devastating collision between a tempo and a truck on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Palghar district, Maharashtra, has resulted in the deaths of 13 people. Officials confirmed Tuesday that a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against both drivers, citing various traffic violations that authorities believe precipitated the crash. The tempo, reportedly carrying passengers to an engagement ceremony, was moving on the wrong side of the Mumbai-Gujarat lane, a significant breach of road rules.
