Nicolas Cage, 62, surfaced on the red carpet for the world premiere of his new series, 'Spider-Noir', on Wednesday evening, May 13th, at Regal Times Square in New York City. He was accompanied by his wife, Riko Shibata, 31, the latest in a series of public appearances that mark their union. The event heralded the upcoming debut of the series on Prime Video on May 27th, offering viewers two distinct viewing experiences: "Authentic Black & White" and "True-Hue Full Color."
'Spider-Noir' plunges into the narrative of Ben Reilly (Cage), a worn-out private investigator navigating 1930s New York. The series sees him confronting a shadowed past, following a personal tragedy, all while operating as the city's solitary superhero. The premiere saw a gathering of fellow cast members, including Andrew Caldwell, Jack Huston, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Lamorne Morris, Karen Rodriguez, Lukas Haas, and Li Jun Li.

Shibata, a first-time mother to their daughter, August Francesca, born in September, has been a consistent presence alongside Cage at significant events. Their relationship, though marked by a significant age difference, has seen them co-parent their child. Cage has openly discussed his unique family structure, fathering three children with three different women, including daughter August with Shibata, his fifth wife.
Cage and Shibata's public engagements have previously included appearances at events like the 96th Annual Academy Awards in March 2024, and the premiere of 'The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent' at SXSW in March 2022. Their initial red carpet debut as a couple was in July 2021 for the premiere of the film 'Pig'.
Shibata, who is 31 years old as of the 'Spider-Noir' premiere, has been described as having her career significantly boosted following her marriage to Cage. The couple met in Shiga, Japan, over a year prior to their engagement, which Cage announced via FaceTime. Their relationship persisted despite pandemic-related separations, maintaining connection across distances.
