Nebraska has officially added Boden Kapke, a 6-foot-11 forward/center, from the Boston College transfer portal. The announcement, made today, brings a player described by coach Fred Hoiberg as providing "a veteran, physical presence" to the Huskers' frontcourt. This move marks Nebraska's fourth commitment in the current transfer portal cycle.
Kapke arrives in Lincoln with one season of eligibility remaining. He spent two seasons at Butler before transferring to Boston College. His collegiate performance saw a marked increase in his junior year with the Eagles, where he averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game over 31 contests, starting 17 of them. He recorded double-digit scoring in 18 games last season and posted three double-doubles.

Kapke's statistical journey reveals a varied trajectory across his college years. As a freshman at Butler, he appeared in 22 games, averaging 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds. Upon entering conference play, he became a starter, boosting his numbers to 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, shooting at a 49 percent clip. His sophomore year saw him play in 34 games, with 16 starts, averaging 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds.
