Mysuru, Karnataka - The Mysuru Railway Division has apparently achieved a record in passenger revenue, raking in ₹449.13 crore in one reported period, a figure exceeding the prior mark of ₹419.89 crore. The division also reported its highest earnings from commercial publicity (₹3.17 crore), parking (₹4.02 crore), and catering (₹2.61 crore), each surpassing previous financial year totals. Automobile loading saw its own historic peak, with 116 rakes contributing ₹23.94 crore. Ticket checking earnings, too, reached an all-time high of ₹9.75 crore, exceeding both past performance and stated annual targets.
Further complicating the picture, another report indicates the division's total revenue surpassed ₹1,000 crore in the current financial year, with goods revenue at ₹649.4 crore and passenger revenue at ₹315.5 crore.
