Pop artist Lizzo has announced her fifth studio album, provocatively titled ‘Bitch’. The record is slated for release on June 5. This announcement coincides with her 38th birthday celebration. The album, which will feature 12 tracks, represents a departure from her previously planned project, ‘Love in Real Life’, which was shelved after singles released last year failed to gain traction.
The album’s title, ‘Bitch,’ is presented as an act of reclaiming a term often used as a slur. Lizzo framed the announcement as a birthday gift to her fans, encouraging pre-orders and pre-saves. Artwork for the album reportedly features a hand with an extended middle finger, which is replaced by a miniature version of the artist.
Further details regarding collaborators or specific features on ‘Bitch’ have not yet been disclosed. Some track titles, however, have surfaced, including “A Toast,” “Happy 2 Be,” “She Stole My Man,” and “Goodmorning!” The album follows Lizzo's 2022 release, ‘Special’.
