'Count My Lies' Production Kicks Off in New York City
Filming for the upcoming Hulu limited series 'Count My Lies,' starring Lindsay Lohan and Shailene Woodley, has commenced in New York City. This marks Lohan's first leading role in a television series, a significant step following her recent work on Netflix holiday films and the sequel to 'Freaky Friday.' The show, based on Sophie Stava's novel, sees Woodley portray a compulsive liar who secures a nanny position with Lohan's character.
Woodley, also executive producing the project, has an existing relationship with Hulu, with 'Count My Lies' being her second series on the platform. The production is spearheaded by former 'This Is Us' executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who will also write and executive produce under their Walk-Up Company banner. Both Lohan and Woodley are attached as executive producers, alongside Scott Morgan.

The plot centers on Sloane Caraway (Woodley), whose fabrications land her a dream nanny job for Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart. However, this seemingly ideal situation unravels as Sloane discovers the household is steeped in secrets, threatening explosive consequences for all involved. The novel on which the series is based was a notable release, having been selected as a Good Morning America Book Club pick.
Lindsay Lohan, 39, is making a notable return to television in a lead capacity, having previously had guest spots on shows like 'Glee' and 'Ugly Betty,' and a stint on the soap opera 'Another World' in her youth. Woodley, 33, joins the project as filming begins, adding to her slate of television work.
The series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios. The collaboration brings together two actresses who began their careers as prominent child stars, with Lohan first gaining widespread recognition in films like 'The Parent Trap' and 'Mean Girls,' while Woodley rose to fame with 'The Fault in Our Stars.'
