The Cochin Port Authority (CPA) has put out a call for potential partners, seeking 'Expressions of Interest' to spearhead the development of marine tourism activities at Puthuvype beach. This initiative targets a significant stretch of coastline, encompassing a 35-acre land parcel that runs approximately 1.5 kilometers along the shoreline, with varying widths between 75 to 125 meters. The authority aims to cultivate a diverse range of facilities, including beach resorts, eco-lodges, wellness centers, and waterfront hospitality structures. Provisions for recreational activities, water sports, and cultural spaces are also on the agenda.
The CPA’s stated objective is to bolster coastal infrastructure, foster job creation, and generate revenue through lease agreements.
