The premiere event, held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, saw McAvoy in a black suit and Liberati in a silver sequined top. McAvoy not only directed but also appears in 'California Schemin' as a record executive. The film is slated for a UK theatrical release on April 10, 2026.
McAvoy's directorial debut was previously screened at TIFF 2025, with Liberati also in attendance. He has expressed a preference for his career to "flounder" rather than resorting to overt self-promotion, stating, "I'm for hire!"
