Intel has formally introduced its Arc Pro B70 and Arc Pro B65 graphics cards, marking a significant push into the professional workstation and artificial intelligence (AI) markets. These new offerings, based on the "Big Battlemage" architecture, emphasize substantial memory capacities, a departure from a primary focus on consumer gaming.

The flagship Arc Pro B70 features 32GB of GDDR6 memory with 608 GB/s bandwidth, positioned for demanding AI workloads and complex data sets. The Arc Pro B65, a variant with a cut-down configuration, also offers 32GB of memory.

These professional-grade cards are designed to support large AI models, local AI inference, and multi-agent software development. Intel notes the lineup aims to provide strong performance at a competitive value for these specialized applications.

Architecture and Specifications
The new professional cards utilize Intel's Xe2 architecture. The Arc Pro B70 is built on the BMG-G31 GPU die, featuring 32 Xe cores and a claimed peak AI performance of up to 367 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second). In contrast, the Arc Pro B65 employs a modified version of the same BMG-G31 die, equipped with 20 Xe cores and a reported AI performance of up to 197 TOPS.

"The Arc Pro lineup has shifted from primarily supporting creative workloads to enabling large-scale AI development, with the B70 and B65 aiming to deliver strong performance at competitive value." - Anil Nanduri, Intel’s VP of AI Products and GTM
Both models support Windows and Linux operating systems. The reference Arc Pro B70 carries a 230W TDP, with partner cards potentially ranging from 160W to 290W.
Market Positioning and Availability
Intel is directly targeting the AI development and professional workstation segments, with the Arc Pro B70 priced at $949. The company positions these cards as alternatives for workloads where high memory capacity is crucial, specifically for tasks like AI inference and the development of large AI models. This strategic shift suggests a prioritization of the professional market, which often offers more predictable demand and higher profit margins compared to the volatile consumer gaming sector.

"Intel’s decision to push Big Battlemage into the pro market first is probably the right make the money call: smaller, more predictable customer base, better margins, and fewer driver-support headaches than the consumer gaming market, leaving a gap in the mid-range gaming GPU space."
The Arc Pro B70 was available starting March 25, 2026, through Intel and various add-in-card partners, including ASRock, Gunnir, MAXSUN, and SPARKLE. The Arc Pro B65 is slated for release in mid-April, with pricing expected to be below the B70.
Background: "Big Battlemage" and the Professional GPU Landscape
The introduction of the "Big Battlemage" series has been anticipated, with Intel's previous Arc Pro offerings, like the Arc Pro B60, utilizing the older BMG-G21 GPU and featuring up to 24GB of memory. The decision to debut this enhanced architecture in the professional space first underscores Intel's strategy to gain traction in the lucrative workstation market. This move places Intel's new professional GPUs in direct competition with offerings from established players in the high-performance computing and AI accelerator domain. The company has not yet announced plans for consumer gaming variants of this "Big Battlemage" architecture.
