Feud Rumors Dismissed Amidst Separate Storylines and Filming Schedules
Jessica Blair Herman, an actress on the HBO series ‘Euphoria,’ has stepped forward to refute persistent rumors of a feud between co-stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. Herman stated on a recent appearance on "Good Day New York" that all cast members, including Zendaya and Sweeney, maintained positive relationships on set during the filming of season three. The actress emphasized that any perceived distance between the two stars is largely a consequence of their characters’ separate storylines and differing filming schedules.
Herman, who plays Heather, a neighbor to Sweeney's Cassie and Jacob Elordi's Nate, explained that Zendaya and Sweeney do not share many scenes together. "To be fair, when I was there, they're not sharing scenes," Herman said. "Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff." This separation in filming and narrative focus, she suggested, contributes to the visual impression of distance that fueled speculation.

Speculation Fueled by Premiere Absence and Separate Projects
The rumors of a rift between Zendaya and Sweeney gained traction following reports that the two actresses avoided each other at the season three premiere of ‘Euphoria’ in Los Angeles. Further fueling these claims was Sweeney's absence from a group cast photo during promotional activities for the new season, an event that led some fans to speculate about underlying tensions.
However, Herman countered these narratives by asserting, "there was no drama." She described the working environment as one where "everyone wants to do the work, to come in and do the job." Herman's defense of the set's atmosphere comes as both Zendaya and Sweeney continue to navigate busy individual careers. Zendaya has multiple film projects slated for release, including "Dune: Part Three" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," while Sweeney has also been involved in promoting her own ventures, such as her thriller "The Housemaid" and the launch of her lingerie brand, SYRN.

Context of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 and Other Cast Developments
Herman’s statements come as ‘Euphoria’ season three continues to draw attention. The show, which premiered on HBO on April 12, 2026, features a narrative jump of five years and an eight-episode run. This season has also seen discussions surrounding the departure of the show's composer, Labrinth, who alluded to creative process tensions in an April 11 Instagram Story. Despite these broader conversations, Herman’s direct commentary aims to clarify the interpersonal dynamics between Zendaya and Sweeney, framing the situation as a matter of production logistics rather than interpersonal conflict.
