Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu distributed newly designed pattadar passbooks, incorporating QR codes and blockchain technology, in Kothaburuju village, Dhone mandal, Nandyal district, on Monday. This initiative, part of the 'Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku' (Your Land – Your Right) program, aims to fortify land ownership security and introduce transparency into the land revenue system. Officials stated the revamped passbooks feature QR codes linked to digital land databases, allowing immediate access to ownership data upon scanning.

Naidu utilized the occasion to critique the prior administration's Land Titling Act, asserting that it potentially undermined farmers' control over their property and curtailed their capacity to contest ownership claims legally. The distribution involved the Chief Minister personally handing over updated land documents to several farmers.

The event saw significant security arrangements, with police personnel deployed to manage traffic and ensure order. Officials also made provisions for drinking water, medical services, electricity, and sanitation. The Chief Minister himself inspected horticulture stalls and reviewed crop cultivation, emphasizing practices like protective covers for fruits to enhance market value and encouraging water conservation.

During the program, Naidu engaged with farmers, hearing their concerns and suggestions. Some farmers brought forth issues regarding land record errors and disputes. The Chief Minister reportedly instructed officials to address these problems promptly. Reports also mentioned instances where ministers from the previous government were allegedly involved in the illicit transfer of farmers' land.

The Chief Minister stressed that Rayalaseema is being developed as a horticulture hub. He highlighted that land surveys are conducted with farmers present and passbooks are issued only after their confirmation of land details. He also mentioned that the government covers the costs associated with issuing these documents, providing them free of charge.
The visit, which concluded without incident, was attended by various ministers, including Payyavula Keshav, Anagani Satya Prasad, NMD Farooq, B. Janardhan Reddy, and local MLAs, alongside senior officials like the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration. The event was seen as a boost to local party cadres and a relief to district officials.
