HOVE CROWN COURT – Two men, Ibrahim Alshafe, 25, and Abdulla Ahmadi, 25, have been found guilty of rape following an incident on Brighton beach. The verdict, delivered by a jury, follows a trial that heard disturbing accounts of the assault. A third man, Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, accused of filming the event, has had his charges detailed in the proceedings.
== The prosecution described the attack as 'cynical, predatory, and callous'. ==
The court heard that the victim reported being spat on, kicked, and having her throat grabbed during the assault, with her assailants allegedly laughing. Forensic evidence, including DNA matching Alshafe and Ahmadi, was presented to the jury. The defendants targeted the woman in the early hours of October 4, 2025, after she became separated from her friends during a night out.
