A warrant for the arrest of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been issued by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office in California. The charge is a misdemeanor for exhibition of speed, related to an alleged traffic violation.

Authorities reportedly connected Aiyuk to the offense after he posted a video on his YouTube channel in December. The video appeared to show a vehicle, similar to one he owns, traveling at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour near Levi's Stadium. Following the video's virality, Aiyuk apparently deleted it and offered an apology.
The complaint against Aiyuk was executed in February, and the alleged violation occurred around December. The 28-year-old receiver has been sidelined since suffering a significant knee injury, including a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus, in October.
The legal situation further complicates Aiyuk's standing with the 49ers. General Manager John Lynch has indicated that Aiyuk is not expected to play for the team again, and discussions about his future have been hampered by his contract, injury history, and uncertain position within the organization. Trade talks have not yet yielded a resolution.
