BENGALURU — Krithika, a 21-year-old student at Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, perished on Wednesday afternoon after a collision involving a tipper truck. The incident occurred near the college gates as she was returning home. Another student, Hamsa, who was riding on the scooter with Krithika, sustained severe injuries.
The accident unfolded around 4:15 p.m. Krithika was traveling as a passenger on a scooter driven by Hamsa. Reports indicate the two-wheeler collided with a tipper truck. Krithika reportedly ended up under the truck's wheels and died, some accounts state this occurred after being run over, others mention death in the hospital. Hamsa was admitted to the attached hospital for treatment.

Police have since arrested the truck driver and seized the vehicle. An investigation is underway to determine the precise circumstances of the crash. A case has been registered by the authorities.
The deceased, identified variously as Krithika and Krithikaa C S B, was a fourth-year medical student. Hamsa is also identified as an MBBS student. The collision took place on Mysuru Road.
