Two Australian men, Paea I Middlemore Tupou, 27, and Mevlut Coskun, 22, have been sentenced to 16 years in Indonesian prison for the premeditated murder of Melbourne father Zivan Radmanovic, 32, in a Bali villa. A third Australian, Darcy Francesco Jenson, received a 12-year sentence for his role in organizing the attack.

The Denpasar District Court found Tupou and Coskun guilty of premeditated murder, attempted premeditated murder, and illegal firearm possession and use. Tupou admitted to shooting Radmanovic, claiming he mistook him for Sanar Ghanim. Ghanim, who was also present with Radmanovic, his partner Jazmyn Gourdeas, and her sister Daniella Gourdeas, survived the attack with injuries.

The sentencing on Monday followed a delay of one week. Radmanovic's widow, Jazmyn Gourdeas, and her family were present in court for the verdict. Lawyers representing Gourdeas expressed dissatisfaction with the sentences, suggesting they did not sufficiently deter violence.

The attack occurred on June 14, 2025, in a luxury villa. Radmanovic, a father of six, was on holiday with his partner and her family. Premeditated murder carries a maximum penalty of death under Indonesian law, a sentence Tupou and Coskun avoided.

Jenson was convicted of assisting premeditated murder, having organized logistics for the operation, including accommodation and vehicle rentals. His sentencing was delivered separately from Tupou and Coskun.
Both Tupou and Coskun offered apologies to Radmanovic's family during the proceedings. The family of the deceased had travelled to Bali for the sentencing. The victim's widow reportedly took cover during the shooting and was in court with their son for the verdict.
