Andy Murray, the two-time Wimbledon champion, will join Jack Draper's coaching team for the upcoming grass-court season, including the prestigious Wimbledon tournament. This move follows Draper's split with Jamie Delgado, who had been working with the young Brit since October.
Draper, currently sidelined by a knee injury and a bone bruise in his serving arm, is aiming to return for the grass-court swing, with the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club being a potential comeback event. His career has been marked by persistent injury issues, which have hampered his progression. Draper, who was ranked World No. 4 as recently as June last year, is seen by many as a potential challenger to top players like Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, provided he can maintain fitness.
Murray, a compatriot of Draper and a figure he has known through Davis Cup and his brother, who is Draper's agent, has not been extensively involved on the tour since a brief coaching stint with Novak Djokovic. Draper himself acknowledged last year the need to improve his game on grass, a surface where Murray achieved significant success, winning Wimbledon twice and securing a record five singles titles at Queen's.

The 24-year-old Draper has fallen outside the top 100 rankings due to his injuries and recent form. Delgado, who previously coached Murray during his ascent to World No. 1, had been with Draper for approximately six months. Murray's involvement with Draper's team for the grass season, including Wimbledon which begins on June 29, signals a significant shift for both players as Draper seeks to reignite his career and Murray explores a more direct coaching role.
