Temecula, CA – Actress Tori Spelling and four of her children, along with three of their friends, were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision on April 2. Spelling, who was driving, described the incident in an Instagram video posted on April 7, attributing their survival to "guardian angels" and expressing gratitude for the swift response of first responders.

The crash, which occurred in Temecula, California, saw Spelling make a rapid maneuver to shield the children as another driver allegedly ran a red light and impacted her vehicle. The collision resulted in damage to both cars, with the vehicle that allegedly ran the red light sustaining more significant front-end damage. No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Spelling stated in her video that the family is "so grateful and so lucky" to have emerged from what she termed a "near-miss." She extended thanks to first responders, hospital staff, and those who have offered support. Reports indicate that Tori Spelling, her four children, and their three friends were transported via three separate ambulances and treated for cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions. Spelling's quick thinking is suggested to have prevented a more severe outcome. While the exact circumstances are still being investigated, eyewitness accounts and initial reports suggest one vehicle may have disregarded a traffic signal.

The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. on a Thursday. The actress, known for her role in "Beverly Hills, 90210," was reportedly attempting to evade photographers who were following her at the time of the incident, which she described as an effort to "get away from him."
Spelling's children involved include Liam, 19; Stella, 17; Hattie, 14; Finn, 13; and Beau, 9. The crash occurred during what appears to have been a spring break period for the children. Reports indicate that the family has been spending time in Temecula during this break.
