Muddada Ravichandra, an Indian Administrative Service officer, has officially taken charge as the Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The transition involved a formal oath-taking ceremony held within the temple premises. Ravichandra also assumed the role of Member-Secretary for the TTD Trust Board.

During a brief ceremony, Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, the Additional Executive Officer, administered the oath to Ravichandra. Outside the temple, Ravichandra addressed reporters, stating he had spent recent weeks familiarizing himself with the operational facets of Tirumala. He articulated an intention to serve devotees not as an administrator, but as a fellow pilgrim.

He also indicated a willingness to consider suggestions from devotees, aiming to enhance the spiritual atmosphere for visitors. This commitment suggests an openness to feedback regarding the pilgrim experience.

Ravichandra's assumption of duties occurred at the Srivari Temple in Tirumala. Reports indicate he followed temple traditions, including visiting the Bhu Varaha Swamy temple before proceeding to the main sanctum. The oath as a member of the TTD Board was taken at the Bangaru Vakili.
