Devarrick Woods, a defensive lineman who transferred to Texas State, is scheduled for an official visit to the University of Florida. This visit marks a significant point in Woods's recruitment journey, as he navigates the landscape of potential transfers after his tenure with the Bobcats.
Woods, who previously played at Hinds Community College, has garnered attention from multiple programs. He recorded 16 tackles and one sack in 177 defensive snaps for Texas State during the past season, receiving a PFF grade of 74.2. His previous statistical contributions at Hinds included 26 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and four sacks in nine games during his sophomore year, following a freshman season with 40 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss.
Prior to this Florida visit, Woods had already explored other potential destinations. He took official visits to NC State in January, with reports indicating he was a target for Colorado. His eligibility status was a point of discussion earlier in the year, but he appears to be fully eligible for transfer consideration.
