Though he managed to recover with a birdie on the 17th to move to 1-under through eight holes played in his round, he has slipped from his overnight leading position. Scheffler's struggles to find rhythm contrast with his previous standing, where he was part of a seven-way tie at 3-under.

Further down the leaderboard, Justin Thomas also saw an uneven start to his second round, with two bogeys in his initial three holes. However, he managed to return to even par for the day, leveling his second-round score.
The broadcast schedule for the championship outlines continued coverage. Friday's second round action, running until 8 p.m. ET, is being streamed on ESPN+ and broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2. Subsequent rounds on Saturday and Sunday will see coverage shift to CBS for portions of the main broadcasts, with ESPN+ offering early round streams.
