Diverse Events and Broad Participation
Beyond the competitive events, the fest outlined a broader scope for participation and engagement. Previously advertised for August 2025, with a stated start date of July 17, 2025, and end date of August 20, 2025, the initiative broadened its appeal to include engineering students from all disciplines, polytechnic and diploma students, tech enthusiasts, and startups. The organizing body, the Department of Information Science and Engineering at JNNCE, listed a "State-Level Hackathon" – a 48-hour coding challenge designed to address industry-related and societal problems – as a central component.
Other scheduled activities, as detailed in earlier announcements, included:
Technical Workshops: Focused sessions on contemporary fields like Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Cloud computing, and Blockchain.
Tech Quiz & Fun Coding Contests: Designed to assess and refine participants' knowledge and practical coding proficiencies.
The IEEE-YUGMA 2026 initiative, as described, intended to establish an environment that not only acknowledges innovative spirit but also paves the way for subsequent IEEE projects and student-driven technical advancements within JNNCE. The registration details indicated varying fees for events, with a hackathon priced at ₹600 and other technical events at ₹200, though a note suggested "No Admission Charge" in certain contexts. Contacts for event coordination included Dr. Raghavendra RJ and Dr. Pavan Kumar MP from the Department of ISE at JNNCE Shivamogga.
