Sakti, Chhattisgarh – A catastrophic boiler explosion at the Vedanta Limited power plant in Singhitarai village, Sakti district, on Tuesday afternoon resulted in the deaths of nine workers. The blast, believed to have originated from a ruptured boiler tube, occurred around 2 PM during routine operations.
Rescue teams and local administration were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Injured workers were transported to hospitals in the neighboring Raigarh district for treatment. The intense heat emanating from the boiler area necessitated the evacuation of personnel from the vicinity, and rescue operations continued to assess if any individuals remained trapped.
